Can I submit a student recommendation without using the Coalition system?

If you receive a student's recommendation request from the Coalition site, you can submit the recommendation through another platform, such as Naviance.

However, you must still sign up for a Coalition account so that you can accept the student's request on the Coalition site. This informs the college that you have agreed to provide a recommendation for that applicant.
